Improve Safety – Lower Insurance Costs

The National Transportation Safety Board recent study suggests Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) can greatly reduce truck and vehicle crashes.  In 2012 alone 1,700 people were killed in rear-end crashes and another 500,000 were injured.

The NTSB strongly recommends trucking and commercial vehicle owners to equip their fleets with these CAS systems.  Most CAS systems involve two components, a collision warning system that alerts the driver and an automatic braking system.

What’s more, the Collision Avoidance Systems will save you money on your trucking insurance.  Not only will they reduce the frequency of accidents improving your experience rating, but many carriers offer significant discounts for having them installed on your fleet.
